GURUVAYUPURESHWARA SHARANAGATI STOTRAM(Vishnu stotra.140)

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर शरणागति स्तोत्रम्

करुणावरुणालय सर्वपते

तरुणारुणसन्निभदीप्रतनो

शरणागतवत्सल ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम् ॥१॥

O Lord of Guruvayur! You are an ocean of mercy!  You are the Lord of everything. You have a resplendent body as the rising Sun!  You are affectionate to those who take refuge in you!  Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

विनतासुतवाहन विश्वगते

विनताश्रितपालनबद्धमते ।

जनतापविनाशन ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम् ॥२॥

O Lord of Guruvayur! You have Garuda as your vehicle. You are all-pervading.  You are  on protecting those who humbly take refuge in you. You destroy the sorrows of people! Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

कमनीयगुणाकर भक्तजनै-

र्गमनीय मनोहररूप विभो

सुमनीषिविभावित ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम् ॥३॥

O  Lord of Guruvayur! You are a mine of all wonderful qualities. You are easily accessible to your devotees. Your  form captivates everyone’s heart. You are all-pervading. Men of wisdom always think of you and meditate on you.  Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

कमलाकरलालित योगिमनः

कमलाकरलासक हंस हरे

शमलापह केशव ते चरणं
गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम् ॥४॥

O Lord of Guruvayur!  Goddess Lakshmi serves you with her own hands.  You are the swan revelling in the lake of lotus flowers which are the hearts of yogis. You are Hari, the one who steals the heart of devotees.  You remove the impurities (from the heart of devotees). You are the slayer of Kesi. Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

परिपावनमानसवास सतां

परिपालनतत्पर सत्त्वनिधे।

परिणामविवर्जित ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम्  ॥५॥

O Lord of Guruvayur! You abide in the pure hearts (of devotees). You are keen on protecting the good. You are the treasure house of sattwa guna. You are unchanging.  Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

प्रणतार्तिविनाशक पुण्यवतां

गुणदानसमुत्सुक मुक्तगते।

क्षणदाचरसूदन ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम्॥६॥

O Lord of Guruvayur! You destroy the sorrows of those who prostrate before you. You are eager to bestow good qualities on those who have earned merit by good deeds. You are the final destination for the liberated souls. You are the slayer of demons. Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

पतितोद्धरणोत्सुक हैमवती-

पतिभावित भावुकजालनिधे।

प्रतिभावदवेक्षित ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम् ॥ ७॥

O Lord of Guruvayur! You are interested in lifting up those who have fallen into an abyss. You are remembered by the consort of Parvati.  You are the treasure house of good and noble thoughts.  You are seen only by those highly evolved souls both intellectually and spiritually. Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

भवसागरतारक सारनिधे

भवपद्मभवादि सुपर्वपते।

भुवनैकनियामक ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश मे शरणम् ॥८॥

O Lord of Guruvayur!  You help your devotees cross the ocean of samsara. You are the essence of everything. You are the Lord of Shiva, Brahma and other celestials.  You are the sole controller of this world. Your lotus feet are my only refuge.

अवनाववनाय निजांघ्रिजुषा-

मवतीर्ण वितीर्णविशिष्टगते।

शिवदाऽऽदिविधायक ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश मे शरणम् ॥९॥

O Lord of Guruvayur! You descend to this Earth to protect those who take refuge at your lotus feet.  You lead your devotees to the highest state. You bestow auspicious things (on devotees). You are the very first Law Maker. Your  lotus feet are my only refuge. 

अवधान निधानमहर्षिगणै-

रवधारित मारितपापतते।

अवशावनलालस ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम् ॥१०॥

O Lord of Guruvayur! You are known by those saints and hermits who are the repositories of concentrated meditation. You are the destroyer of hordes of sins. You take pleasure in protecting those who are helpless. Your lotus feet are my only refuge. 

अपराधशतैरतिदूनमिमं

कृपया परया परिपालय मां।

अपवर्गसृतिप्रद ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश मे शरणम् ॥११॥

O Lord of Guruvayur!  I am weighed down by hundreds of  culpable acts committed by me.  Have mercy on me and save me. You bless (your devotees) with liberation (moksha). Your lotus feet are my only refuge.  

अभिरामगुणाकर पुण्यजनै-

रभिराध्य निराकृतदोषतते।

अभिगम्य सतामयि ते चरणं

गुरुवायुपुरेश्वर मे शरणम् ॥१२॥

O Lord of Guruvayur!  You are the repository of beautiful qualities.  You are worshipped by those who have earned enough merit by their good deeds. You have repudiated all the bad qualities.  You are accessible to the good and noble people. Your lotus feet are my only refuge. 

शरणागति विख्यात-

स्तोत्ररत्नमिदं शुभम्।

भक्त्या पठन् जनो नित्यं

लभतेऽभीष्टसंपदः॥१३॥

Those who recite this jewel of a hymn known as ‘SharaNAgati’ will have all their desires fulfilled.  JAI HO JAI HO JAI HO
