MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION 736
Radhe krishna,
Good morning & have a blessed day, FOUNDATION OF SPIRITUAL LIFE Swami Sivananda Meditation and worship are the means of evolving your potentialities and seeking a higher level of consciousness or existence. Life is unfolding of the latent capacities of the soul. Lead the divine life. Generate sublime divine thoughts in your mind through meditation, Japa, Kirtan and study of the sacred scriptures. Worship is the unfolding of the bud of the flower of the sou! Worship is life. Worship bestows life eternal. Bask the body in the physical sunlight. Bask the soul in the sunlight of the Eternal. You will have good health and everlasting life. Therefore, we have to make special efforts, take paper and pen, go and look behind, think over and jot down as and when a thought suddenly flashes, as and when an insight is suddenly gained, before it slips away and goes out of memory and is forgotten, lost for ever. We have to catch it and put it down. So, that which is of time, is made eternal, permanent, by putting it down in black and white. Concretizing things in this manner is very important, very necessary. After centuries of study and progress, of science and advancement they are now coming to the realization that education should be visual also. To coordinate both sight and hearing and make it one single process, to make the input one single process, they have now started what is known as simultaneous audio-visual education. Likewise, we too have to concretize our thoughts, put down our ideas in black and white so that we can see them in front of us. Nothing like seeing it in front of you. That is why when the dentist pulls out the tooth of someone who has had a tooth pain and gone to him for an extraction, he is not satisfied with pulling out the tooth when the patient is under gas and telling him, “It’s finished!”. No. The patient will not be satisfied that way; he will feel vaguely dissatisfied unless the dentist produces the extracted tooth before him. “Look, this is your tooth!” Then, o yes, the patient is immediately relieved, a hundred and one per cent, of that source of pain, because he is now convinced that the troublesome tooth is no more there. That is a habit of the human mind; it wants to see. Space, time and gravitation divide and pull the body by isolating it from other bodies. With this division and pull of the body, consciousness also appears to be affected due to its association with the body through the mind, Prana and the nervous system. The overcoming of this distracting effect of space, time and gravitation in one’s consciousness is yoga. - Swami Krishnananda Chant the Maha Mantra Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare BE HAPPY.
