TO THE MIND

O truant mind meditate on the feet of Guru your ignorance will be
burnt. Light of the Atma will shine in your heart. The ghost of egoism
will run away. The pairs of opposites will be annihilated.The five
afflictions will be destroyed. You will enjoy Bliss-Immortal you will
be ever peaceful. O mind! Drink the nectar of Lord's Name give up evil
company. Live in the company of the sages. Hear the Leelas of the Lord
do Japa, Sing, pray and meditate give up lust, anger, greed, etc. Do
not keep company with the senses and objects. You will enjoy immortal
bliss.

This, indeed, is the key to true discipleship and to a successful
spiritual life. This is the way
to obtain the highest and the maximum benefit from that being we call
the spiritual master or the
guru
. This is the inner spiritual truth about the subtle and unparalleled
relationship of a sincere
seeking soul and the
guru
that is sent in order to put the individual soul into contact with the great,
eternal, infinite and all-perfect Universal Soul that is at once our
origin, our destination and our destiny as well.

To want God is not merely to ‘think’ but to ‘feel’ through your ‘whole
being’ that you cannot exist without Him. The entire personality
vibrates with a longing that cannot be satisfied by the beauty and the
grandeur of the world. There is a want for ‘That’ alone, and nothing
