Peel and think that you breathe, live and work for God alone and that without His consciousness life is absolutely meaningless. Learn to discriminate and develop lasting determination by study, reflection and association with the wise. Make the mind understand the defects of a sensual life. Practise self-analysis, coax the mind, and it will hear your words and gradually cease to wander and then begin to dwell in the centre of its source. Destroy the false imagination of the mind by disciplining it in a perfect manner through discrimination, enquiry, dispassion and regular meditation.

All virtues spring from obedience and submission. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Therefore, obey your superiors.
