MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION 1098

 MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION 1098

Radhe krishna,
Have a blessed day,

PROCESS OF PURIFICATION

Swami Sivananda
Cultivate and develop Sattwa. This is the foundation of Yoga. This is the first preparatory discipline. Sattwa is the only sure means for the attainment of the Knowledge of the Self. It lays the foundation of Knowledge. Introspect. Look within. Watch the thoughts. Be vigilant. Stand as a door-keeper. Allow Sattwic thoughts only to pass through the door of the mind. Check Rajas. Check Tamas. Convert Tamas into Rajas by performing action vigorously. And then convert Rajas into Sattwa. Purity or Sattwa increases gradually by Japa, meditation and self-restraint. Sattwic diet, Japa, meditation, study of sacred books, living in seclusion, Satsang, Sankirtan, self-analysis, Pranayama are essential to Sadhaks. The more you get purified and the mort there is the increase of Sattwa, the further you will progress towards divine light, peace and harmony.

To attain to the exalted state of spirituality, you should, in the first instance, fully realize the glory of life in the Spirit or the Soul.

- Swami Sivananda
THE UNBROKEN LINK
This holy land (Bharatavarsha) of ours with its lofty culture has been uniquely blessed and
privileged by a continuous and unbroken stream of spiritual teachers, saints, devotees and savants
to guide and uphold the arduous march of its men, ever reminding them of the true goal of life and
preventing mankind from slipping into erroneous tracks at each critical moment. Look at our
ancient history and you will find not a single generation which has been deprived of God-sent men
who would ever hold high the banner of truth along with their clarion-call to humanity to remain
ever vigilant and never forget the real purpose of life.
Swami Chidananda.
Chant the Maha Mantra
