THE PERFECT MAN

A sage realizes that Brahman is the essence of all, and is the basis of all experiences. The liberated Sage has constant awareness of the Atma. Wisdom, purity, cosmic love, compassion, truthfulness and courage, are the marks of a sage. The man of wisdom is neither elated when he gets desirable or pleasant objects nor grieves when he attains undesirable or painful objects. The Sage beholds through the eye of intuition the unity of the Self everywhere. The Sage beholds that all beings are one with Brahman and that the Self and Brahman are identical. He who has dissolved all duality in the underlying unity (Brahman) and who is thus established in unity is a Sage.

Through patience you can control anger, you can control irritability, you can control annoyance. Patience develops will power. If you have patience, all other virtues will cling to you. So be patient. Cultivate this virtue to a maximum degree and attain success and God-realisation.
