THE GREAT LIBERATION Swami Sivananda Liberation consists in freedom from the imaginary ideas of the world and the realization of one's own true spiritual nature. Freedom from the thraldom of mind, desires, love and hatred is emancipation. There is no ego in Moksha. Mukta or the liberated sage is not egoistic. Even the astral body is ultimately cast off. This state of existence is the Absolute. There are no grades or varieties in Mukti or Moksha. In Moksha, there is neither individuality nor collectivity. Moksha is homogeneous. Moksha is the very nature of Brahman. It is a state of eternal peace and bliss.
