ASANAS FOR MEDITATION
Swami SivanandaWhen you sit for meditation in the Asan, close your eyes and gently concentrate on Trikuti (the space between the two eyebrows). Tip of the nose, and Anahata Chakra (the lotus of the heart) are other places for concentration. Padmasan is one of the most important poses. When this is demonstrated, it gives the appearance of a lotus. In Sanskrit Padma means lotus. The two feet on the opposite thighs represent the petals of a lotus. Amongst the four poses prescribed for meditation, Padmasan comes foremost. ,
Even one little thought of God, even one single utterance of His sacred name, even for few seconds of visualizing His form immediately goes into your credit in the eternal bank.
