MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION 1209

 MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION 1209

Radhe krishna,
Have a blessed day,

NEW YEAR MESSAGE

Swami Sivananda
The past leaves its impression on the present, and the present contains the future as a potentiality. Let the future, therefore, be the result of a natural opening of the bud of the present and let it blossom into the flower of nobler experiences. Cleanse your feelings and invite the Divinity within. Try to be reborn now in your Consciousness. To attain the fellowship with other beings, to think in terms of everything that is around, to share in the feelings of the different contents of the universe; in other words, to give freedom to your inner expressions and potentialities and to raise yourself from narrow thinking, is indeed the precondition of the truly happy and perfect life.
To the disciple, the nature of the Guru is not human. We should be completely blind to the
human side of the Guru and we should be conscious only of the divinity that he is. Then alone will
we be able to partake of his Kripa which will transform us from the lower human into the
transcendental divine. Our relationship with the Guru is purely divine, purely spiritual.
Similarly we have first of all to develop in us the consciousness that we are immortal beings
and that we are in essence Satchidananda. Then we can demand that Satchidananda-Consciousness
from Guru and the Guru will be able to give that to us.
Patience and humility in the spiritual realm may have to extend over a period of decades.
We have to wait like a dog at the door-step of the Guru for a whole lifetime, if need be. There is no
loss here. For the goal is immortal life and freedom.
Swami Chidananda

The sadhana that one does should speak through the actions and the words which manifest themselves through one′s personality.
