You will have to muster this ego through constant practice of self-subordination and humility with wisdom. One of the main objectives of Karma Yoga is the eradication of egotism. In the long run, if you happen to slacken your vigilance, you will be filled with the so-called spiritual egotism. You will not take interest in any form of work unless your name is associated with it. Even though you might wish to disseminate spiritual knowledge, you will be always desirous of self-glory and try to justify it through all sorts of childish arguments. Nothing can be worse in the life of a spiritual seeker. Therefore, be vigilant always.

There may be ups and downs, storms and stresses, smiles and tears, as you go on living your
life amidst its many vicissitudes, trials and tribulations. Do not lose faith but press on with a firm
conviction that God wants to mould you in His own image through sufferings and tribulations. Pray

fervently and wholeheartedly.

It is described as a burning pit of live coals, a well of grief, and even our lightning-like flashes of passing satisfactions are described as only deceptive forms taken by sorrows.
