वन्दे वांछित लाभाय चन्द्रार्द्वकृतशेखराम्।
वृषारूढ़ा शूलधरां यशस्विनीम्॥Day One Mantra of

Maa Durga the supreme goddess and embodiment of feminine and creative
energy. She is worshiped in nine different forms and together is known
as Nav Durga. She is the Divine Mother who protects the Universe.

Shailputri
She is daughter of the Himalayas and first among nine Durgas. In
previous birth she was the daughter of Daksha and her name was Sati -
Bhavani. (Wife of Lord Shiva). Once Daksha had organized a big Yagna
and did not invite Shiva. On reaching the Yagna, Sati could not
tolerate the insult of her husband and burnt herself in the fire of
Yagna. In another birth she became the daughter of Himalaya in the
name of Parvati - Hemvati and got married with Shiva. Navratri
commences with the 1st night devoted to the puja of Mata Shailputri.
HER two hands, display a trident and a lotus and she is mounted upon a
bull.

Her complexion is as dark as the night. Her cascading hair are loose
and she is seen wearing a garland that radiates light as bright as
lightning. She is fearsome with her menacing three eyes radiating
fire. She is mounted on an ass. She has four hands, of which, the top
right hand is in a gesture of rendering boon to all. The other hand on
her right is rendering fearlessness. The top left hand is holding an
iron dagger and the other hand is holding a sickle. Although she has a
menacing appearance, she always delivers favorable results. So she is
also called "Shubhankari".
The destroyer of darkness and ignorance, Mata Kaalratri is the seventh
form of Nav-Durga meaning enemy of darkness.

Siddhidatri
Ninth Durga is Siddhidatri. Siddhidatri Maa Kamla is symbol of wealth and worldly happiness. Mother Siddhidatri is capable of rendering all forms of successes to her devotees. According to the Puranas, Lord Shiva achieved salvation by the grace of this deity.
The deity is seen sometimes sitting on a lotus and sometimes mounted on a lion. She is four armed. The lower right hand of the Goddess holds a disc and the upper right hand holds a lotus. The lower left hand holds a conch shell and the upper hand holds a Gada.
She is worshipped on the ninth day of the Durga puja. She is the ultimate form of the Maa among the Navdurga. After worshipping all other aspects of Devi, NavRatri Pooja is culminated by praying to Devi Siddhidatri.
