Swami SivanandaRealize the real solidarity, the oneness underlying all these external surface-differences. All artificial barriers which separate man from man must be cut down. Willing co-operation between various individuals and groups is essential for the wellbeing of all. The greatest duty of each individual is to spread into the atmosphere, which is now poison-ridden, ideas and ideals which are life-preserving. They alone can strengthen our bonds with each other. There is no other way. Side by side with life-annihilating forces, there are certain life-preserving forces, too. Nations will not be truly free until they rise above all cults of exclusiveness to a vision of sympathy, tolerance, compassion and love. Real Swaraj is not merely political or economical Swaraj which are though essential for the welfare of a people. It is lordship over oneself. It is Atma-Swaraj. Re-establish on earth the high ideals of love and selflessness.
