ADAPTABILITY
Swami SivanandaIf the clerk understands well the ways, habits and temperament of his superior and accordingly adjusts himself nicely to suit his superior's ways, he ensures his position in the firm. You will have to use kind words. You should have an amiable disposition. A little lubricant to soften the other person's heart is all that is needed. Speak gently and sweetly. Do not retort. Give up blunt contradictions. Remember the maxim: "Obedience is greater than service." The superior wants a little respect. Do not be lacking in giving due respect to others. It costs you nothing. Then others will have a soft corner for you in their hearts.
The sure and unfailing way of overcoming the negative qualities of the mind is just to concentrate your attention upon developing positive qualities. As they develop, the negative things just vanish.
