MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION 1082
Radhe krishna,
Have a blessed day,
MEN OF GOD
Swami SivanandaA devotee only can really understand the mysterious ways of the Lord. A devotee beholds the Lord everywhere. He sees the Lord in all creations. That is the reason why he has equal vision. The mind of a devotee has merged or entered into union with the Lord. Just as a river, when it merges itself in the ocean becomes completely one with it, so also the mind of the devotee merges with the Lord and becomes one with him. A Bhakta or devotee has unflinching devotion to the Lord without thought for any other objects.
IS THE GOD-NATURE GROWING IN YOU?
There is a perfection within the individual soul that is referred to variously by various
traditions. Isvara amsa, a part of God, some call It. Others say the Light of lights beyond all
darkness. The Old Testament says that God created man in His image; therefore, there is in man the
likeness of God; He created Adam and breathed His spirit into him. And the Islamic tradition says
that man has been created with the light of God within.
Therefore, there shines within you a spark of Divinity, something that is radiant in the midst
of the darkness of avidya or ajnana or ignorance. There, in that centre of your being there is no
darkness. There cannot be any darkness. It is always effulgent.

Religion is not the act of belonging to a creed, a temple, or a church. It is an inward acceptance of ones conscious relation with the Almighty, who presents Himself as the degrees of Deity in the different religions.
