MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION.97
Radhe krishna,
Good morning and have a blessed day,
SATSANGA
Swami Sivananda If you attend the Satsanga of sages, you develop non-attachment and dispassion. If you get non-attachment, Moha or delusion perishes. If you conquer delusion, the mind becomes steady. It attains the steady, immovable, supreme Tattva or Brahman. If you realise Brahman, you attain Jivanmukti or the final Liberation. Satsanga is a sentinel at the door of Moksha. If you make friendship with him, he will introduce you to his other friends, viz., Vichara (enquiry), Santi (peace) and Santosha (contentment), and you will attain Self-realisation quickly and easily. God walks in the garb of a beggar, moans in the guise of the sick. See Him in all.
- Swami Sivananda
BELIEF, FAITH, BEING AND DOING
When food is withdrawn from our physical bodies, strength decreases, one feels weak, one
is unable to exert. If food is stopped beyond a certain limit of time, starvation ensues. And if food is
further withheld, starvation leads to death. But then, a person can fall ill, lose weight and become
weak even when he is provided with the most nourishing food if he cannot digest and assimilate it.
Even if his stomach can digest the food, if due to a diseased condition his intestines cannot
assimilate it or absorb it, he will slowly starve unless he is fed through the veins. So, the essence of
sustaining yourself physically by physical food lies in your ability to assimilate, to absorb, to take in
and utilise the food that is given.
Swami Chidananda.
