MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION 1168
Radhe krishna,
Have a blessed day,
FACTS OF VIRTUOUS LIFE
Swami SivanandaForgiveness is the greatest virtue, which shines forth in all its splendour in the devotee. Courage and patience are the twin qualities of a real aspirant. Humility is the highest of all virtues. God helps you, only when you feel utterly humble. Humility is not cowardice. Meekness is not weakness. Humility and meekness are, indeed spiritual powers. Make patience thy strength. Strongly assert, feel and will: "I am courage itself. I am an embodiment of courage. " Fear will disappear.
He who practises Ahimsa has to content himself with inviting suffering and hardship on himself. This practice will educate him along the path of self-evolution. It will purge his mind of impulsive conduct and develop his will and power of endurance. - Swami Sivanand |
A Sannyasin is one whose life is based upon supreme Tyaga, upon perfect desirelessness. He has to give up all desire for this gross, physical, external world; even the desire for highest enjoyment in heaven. From a blade of grass to highest Brahman, all is dust for a Sannyasin. He rises above them and asserts his Atmic nature. His life is, therefore, based upon renunciation. He does not bestow too much attention upon his physical body, whether it is praised or censured, respected or ill-treated. He ever strives to dwell in the consciousness of the Atman. Reflect over the above and judge what you are. Swami Chidananda. Chant the Maha Mantra Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare BE HAPPY. |
