According to western medical science, light vibrations from outside
strike the retina and an inverted image is formed there. These
vibrations are carried through optic tract and optic thalamus to the
centre of vision in the occipital lobe of the brain in the back part
of the head. There, a positive image is formed. Only then does one see
the object in front of one.

Thus the most effective way of deriving maximum benefit from the
guru
is to create a
channel of lofty, sublime devotion to the
guru
, heroic
guru-bhakti
. And it is that heroic
guru-bhakti
where there is the greatest love and reverence combined with the
highest obedience, the highest
desire to please the
guru
by carrying out his instructions, that becomes the great channel for the
inflow of
guru-kripa
. In that way, spiritual vision dawns and you ìseeî Reality, you ìbeholdî
Reality.
