MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION .249
Radhe krishna,
Goodmorning and have a blessed day,
CONTROL OF THE WANDERING MIND
Swami Sivananda One thing at a time and that too done with perfection is indeed a very good rule as many can tell; hence when you take up any work, apply your whole heart, full mind and soul to that work, and do it with perfect concentration. Even when you study, study the subject with perfect concentration. Do not allow the mind to wander. The whole world must be dead to you for the time being. Such must be the nature of concentration. In your failures lies the secret of your success and in your weakness lies the secret of your strength. Plod on, push on. Be bold and march courageously. Be cheerful and a bright future would surely be awaiting for you. Therefore, never get betrayed by the wandering of the mind.
A sadhaka has to discriminate between what constitutes a factor favourable to his or her sadhana and what constitutes a thing not favourable. If a thing is favourable, it should be accepted and given a place in his sadhana. If it is unfavourable, it is to be rejected, to be given no place.
Swami Chidananda.
The field of battle is the field of life. The things that we want to do in this world are the confrontations before us and our wisdom will be judged by the manner in which we deal with these situations. - Swami Krishnananda.
