Guru is the way, the truth, the life and light. The mercy of Guru or preceptor reveals the Lord here and now. A true Guru or preceptor manifests the spirit of divine love. Guru is God, Guru is Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. He is indeed the Supreme Brahman. There is none higher than Guru. Meditate on Guru as Lord Siva, Lord Hari, Lord Krishna, or Lord Rama. The highest form of worship of Guru is meticulous practice of his teachings, and living by his example. The relation between a Guru and disciple is real, sacred, and ever-lasting. Even greater than a mother's love for her own child is the love of Guru for the disciple. Guru is a very good shepherd. He guides his disciples, his sheep, when they go astray. Be always true, sincere and loyal to your Guru.

Day by day, if your Sadhana is making you more and more peaceful and blissful, more and more kind and compassionate, then it is fulfilling the purpose for which it is being done as the purpose of all Sadhanas is this inner transformation.
