CONTROL OF THE WANDERING MIND

Checking of senses on every side is very necessary. Control of one indriya alone will not do. One and all have got to be controlled from every side. Little by little do the practice and be steady in the practice by bringing the mind again and again to the point. Dharna means concentration of the mind and thorough concentration is disgusting and tiring for the neophyte; but, it is the most interesting and beneficial science in the world. When one has realized some benefits one cannot leave this practice, because it brings supreme joy, spiritual inner strength, unalloyed felicity and infinite eternal peace.

FINE-TUNING YOUR DISCRIMINATION

A sadhakais a person with a sense of keen perception, with a sense of discrimination and discernment, who keenly enquires and sifts the grain from the chaff, sifts the substance from the superfluous outer appearances, who goes to the tattva behind the nama rupa. He is always doing this.
