Bhakti : bhakti is merely the form of intense and the deepest love or the highest devotion to god. It is the spontaneous outpouring of the heart's love towards god. It is pure, unselfish iove, with an admixture of reverence. It can move mountains, and it can help a man to step into a realm where reason cannot penetrate, and there would be nothing impossible for it. It breaks the three knots of ignorance. It purifies, awakens and eventually brings ecstatic mood. It produces one pointedness of mind, destroys the vasnas:—ignorance, love, hatred. Clinging to life, birth, old age, death, sickness, impurities and tossing of the mind, faults and the veil of ignorance and lastly the miseries of life.
