MESSAGE FOR CONTEMPLATION,196
Radhe krishna,
Good morning andhave a blessed day,
ESSENCE OF THE UPANISHADS
Swami Sivananda Here is the essence of all the Upanishads. Hear, reflect and meditate ceaselessly. You will attain surely'Self-realisation. The four Mahavakyas or the great sentences of the Upanishads are (1) Prajnanam Brahma (Absolute Consciousness is Brahman); (2) Aham Brahma Asmi (I am Brahman); (3) Tat Tvam Asi (That Thou art), and (4) Ayam Atma Brahma (This Atman is Brahman). Satyam Jnanam Anantam Brahma: Brahman is Truth, Wisdom and Infinity. Ekam Eva Advitiyam Brahma: This Brahman is one without a second. Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma: Na iha nana asti kinchana: All, indeed, is Brahman; there is no such thing as diversity.
Vedanta is the ancient road that leads from death to Immortality. It is a real road to knowledge of Brahman or the Absolute.
- Swami Sivananda
May we thus see this unified nature of our inner and outer life and not see them as two
separated, mutually exclusive and opposed aspects. They are not two. They are one integrated and
unified process of spiritual evolution.
Swami Chidananda.
