Swami Sivananda YOGI or a DEVOTEE’s thoughts, feelings, actions, speech and behaviour all clearly differentiate him from the other. Oh, worldly-minded souls! Be catholic, liberal, universal, all-embracing and all-inclusive. Love all, be kind to all. Expand and go on expanding. Have space in thy heart for all, even for that man who is planning to poison you, who is drawing the dagger to cut your throat. Mere theory won't do. Be a practical man. Ignore trifles. Rise above petty customs. Look to the internal fundamentals or essentials. Then you will find Unity of Religion and the Unity of Self. Then and then alone you will be in the Highest Bliss. Forget all the illusory names and forms. Feel and see Lord Krishna in everything every moment. You will enjoy the Supreme Peace, Bliss and Immortality. - Swami Sivananda.
T herefore it is that a genuine, authentic positivism is an indispensable requisite of successful spiritual striving and ultimate attainment—a keen positivism that looks at the positive aspects of things and exults that God has been so gracious, that rejoicingly moves forward with enthusiasm, with interest, with eagerness, longing for nothing else, wishing for nothing else, caring for nothing else, and paying attention to nothing else but this central quest.
